The Health Belief Model (HBM) is a tool used by scientists to predict health-related behaviors.It was originally developed in 1950 and updated in 1980. The model is based on the theory that a person’s willingness to change their health behavior is primarily based on their perception of their health. The health belief model consists of six main components.
